I guess we will never know, but it does seem highly probable that the death toll would have been a lot lower under Corbyn, although to be fair it would probably have been a lot lower with almost anybody else in no.10. (I wouldn’t say in charge, as it is quite obvious now that it is Dom who is pulling the strings).

Interesting article. Highly partisan, but that's not an issue. I don't think the writer should hide behind 'guest contributor' though.

But it's pretty hard to argue against much of the content. It's all supposition anyway. The problem is not so much that hugely better scenarios were possible, but that there are still people who vigorously defend the current shit-shower. That's quite extraordinary. And then they have the sheer gall to pop at Corbyn for theoretical scenarios that never happened! As it says in the article, it's a desperate "look a squirrel" attempt to distract from the only scenario that matters - i.e. the real one actually happening now. It's a particularly poor argument, showing little intellect, to defend a real and present disaster by shouting how much worse it might have been in other circumstances. Trump has built his presidency on this kind of rubbish.

At the end of the day, you can outline as many alternative versions of events as you like, but only one version transpired - and it was terrible. Only one group of politicians was in charge, and they've been terrible.

Pure supposition from the writer known as 'unknown contributor' who clearly has an agenda for writing this story about "oh how different life would be if ......... ".
The only element of fact in the article is that it would have been different under Corbyn. The big BUT here is the fact that he was unelectable and Labour let the people down by hanging on to him for far too long, which is truely a "lamentable missed opportunity".
Mine is not a comment/judgement of Corbyn or his level of care for ordinary people but the article really is clutching at straws in an effort to justify somebody's pay cheque.
