for sure new AT is not the bike that can take beating,
but if so why honda bother with 21 inch front wheel and tubed tyres...

And me... I'm drawn to them like a fat kid to a free Mars bar especially the tri-colour B) understand its downfalls but I couldn't see me 'hard' off roading a new 10/11k bike anyway I've got a £1500 husqvarna for that.

Looked at one before going back to BMW
Didn`t like it. Finish wasn`t good, you got nothing with it, everything was a very expensive extra.
Panniers were crap, and rattles, and were badly fitting, and were crap.
Nice looking as a tribute type of thing though. Very bonny

I was surprised with poor finish as well and I find f800gs or r1200gs better put together.

Somebody did quite well on one at the Hellas Rally this year. He won it I think. Certainly beat scores of 350/450 type enduro bikes. And over 7 days.
It's usually quite a tough race, not overly technical, lots of rocky tracks.
Ask Mike54, he's been there.....I think.

yes, several times. Fair play to the guy on the AT, not easy. V good rider though.
