Most of the time I'm not fussed what pigeonhole I'm put in, whether on or off a bike. Certainly how 'the great British public' perceive me couldn't be lower down my 'things to give s**t about' list if I tried. Most will have their opinion based on fluff, fairy dust, the Daily Mail, long held prejudices and too many hours in front of XYZ Factor and trying to change 'their' view without a celebrity marketing campaign would be nigh on impossible so no point either worrying about it or trying.

Move on, get the bike out, enjoy the weekend (thumbs) (thumbs)

I'd class myself as a biker.
Biking is my only hobby. I read about bikes, I go on biking forums, I travel to bike exhibitions, I go on biking holidays abroad and I go out when ever Im home on the bike for a ride for a couple of hours at a time.
I'm a biker and proud of it.

I never been to the Ace cafe in London, on several visits to the Isle of Man, I simply rode round the circuit and watch the racing, never once going to any of the "Biker" doo's in Douglas. I just ride .....alot. So is it me? Or are there other like minded people out there who I guess are .........um .......Riders?
So your not a biker Wow

Is that right Jon, so why is your site name tourist biker rather than Just jon?
Tourist Biker is just a site name just my bit of fun on a "Adventure Bike " site :woohoo: really don't label myself or others (thumbs)
Yeh rite keep telling your self that, so out of all the names you could have put in you thought I don't want to be labelled so I call me self Tourist Biker? But I can see what you mean it is proper funny.

I've never considered myself a "Biker" that kinda implies that you've totally sold your soul to motorcycling.
Motorcycles are my favourite form of transport, that's all really.
Although I do feel a connection with other motorcyclists, I'll always acknowledge other riders on the road and I'd always stop to offer assistance to a stranded fellow "biker"....even if I'm driving my van at the time.
