Have any of you used a Kelly Kettle or the similar Eydon Storm Kettle and with what
results. For those who don't know, they have a twin walled chimney, the water being
contained between the twin walls. A fire of paper/twigs/cones etc. is started in the
base unit and extra fuel is added through the top as necessary.

Eco warriors will love it as it's carbon neutral, but perhaps not much use above
the tree line.
You might be surprised, though I doubt it, to hear I have one of these too. They're too big to be of any practical use on a biking trip but are apparently popular at falcon tea partys in Dubai.

Thank you Alun
No I'm not surprised.

I knew I would get some flak with this thread and it has been most entertaining.
Perhaps it's time to put this one to bed as everyone has had their say by now.

P.S. Is there a depletion of the ozone layer above ABR towers due
to your stove testing programme? :woohoo:

There was a brief spell last week when a small pocket of land in South Warwickshire topped China in the energy consumption/output stakes.

 …you’re of course right, pulling-up to a Chinese/Indian Take-Away for a quick fix is great…yum, yum…but in hindsight too, I like the feeling of having cooking gear on the bike with a few tins of stuff then finding a quiet side road/lane, pulling-over and having a brew and dinner…

…being independent is also the thing for being ready for dinner. I think that’s the difference of a waste of space and not being able to fill that empty space when the need takes ya ;)
Hey! I'm a tourist. And that's how I like it.
