Mine. 2nd hand but too much of a bargain to miss.
I’d always considered ebike as cheating too but I’ve changed my mind. Out of the 4 assists I rarely use other than the bottom 2. I still
Do the same workout but go twice as far.
As for derestricting them I’d go for the Speedbox 2.
Speed reading on the computer gives the actual speed and it can be easily turned on or off using the walk button.

Whether anyone complains is another matter!

There are some really nice restricted byways in my neck of the woods that would be nice to be able to ride without concerns about legality...

Ridden my ebike on the 'TRO'd' Sarn Helen- passed a warden from the National Park as well as loads of rambliars and not a word was said.

Rode into the Brecons Beacons National Park Visitor Centre for tea and cake from Sarn Helen ( passed the 'No cars and motorbikes' sign ) without anyone batting an eyelid.

Way to go!

Doesn't it feel strange riding places that are illegal on a motorbike :)

For sure - but opens up lots of new areas to explore on two wheels. Already thinking of hiring again soon

Ramblers are already moaning and kicking up stink about any type of bike in the forest of Dean.
They believe that you should only ride on the flat gravel paths not on the good dirt trails.

Most of the ramblers are retired bobble hat brigade.... They won't live long ... The younger ones love ebikes etc.....

It's great fun in a scary type of way... Without the noise apart from my bellowing banshee crazed laugh..
