Re: easter weekend -sailsbury area
nice video Stormfield.
It was the perfect Summers day out, great company and stunning scenery. As far as pics of the great views go, we were doing 30mph through those parts, so it wasn't possible to get any pics of that for you...sorry-you'll have to take my word for it.
After meeting at Countess Services and a sausage sarni, we had a short ride to the first bit of gravel road. A few yards of ruts, just before the pub, was the trickiest part of the day - it was just a great relaxing ride-out!
Imber Village was open, an Army training village, and we stopped there after the tank firing range. I was getting quite peckish by then- fortunately lunch was at a petrol station with a vast range of sandwiches, pies, biltong, crisps and ice cream......
Tramp had a huge puncture, as has already been covered, in the afternoon, but it only took half an hour to fix, just enough time to top up my suntan...
A few more gravel tracks, a little grass and chalk too, but very easy going and perfect for a novice when its dry.
I cut off the ride at about 3pm, the others went on to do another couple of lanes, before heading home for a large spag bol and cheese!
Thanks all for a perfect day out-
