Phill,I'm afraid I haven't made the A team. So will not be doing the actual HISS thing, but as I'll be riding south from London. I'd like to ask if I might meet up at your place to meet your good self and some of the others over that weekend ? I'll then press over the Pyrenees to Barbastro. :)

Hi Gilly..

well all different bikes for different uses..the new honda ta700 are well crap ..good engine but the rest is rust waiting to happen and no good on the trails..

The tiger is top heavy for trails but great for touring and a brill engine..

V-strom are under rated but no good for trails due to mag wheels and small front wheel much like the tiger..

Borrow Ronsters xt660 they are good all round bikes at a good price but try the R version as well ...

The bmw x challenge is great too..but not for touring..unless seat is modified...

you have a single 2x twins and a tripple ....just ride them and you`ll fall in love with one.

Hey mate ! Saw the hat and 'tash Sunday but didn't get to talk with you.I kept bumping into people I hadn't seen in years. :( See you no doubt in the Chilterns ! :cheer:
Plan is to ride the AT outfit at the moment. I'd really love to be properly riding solo's again ! My Dommie is now solo'ed and all ready to go,but I'm still riding sheepishly like a novice. Let's see how things improve ?

Hi Sohoeasy, what are your travel plans? I could do with some company through France. I will be departing London on the Saturday morning. Let us know. Cheers Tommy

Tommy, I've finally made a decision... I'll be in Northern France for the week before the rally so I could meet up with you and travel south.

Doctor says I should be OK provided I don't have anymore back outs in the mean time.. and he's prepared to give a few days release from the ward without supervision ...plus I should have my license back by then.
