If you haven't used Seat Concepts before they would be worth considering. I've used them on 2 different bikes and found them to be really good and much more comfortable than anything the japs have produced.

Your MOT station should tell you how much it weighs.
They have to weigh the bike to work out whether your brakes are good enough, as I understand it.

Hey Archie, not found a local weigh bridge yet but likelihood is around 150/160KG's what with the twin cans n all....
Try any of your local scrapyards that's where we weigh motorhomes for work
Brilliant bike by the way

you do not need 2 scales, just put the scales under the front and then under the back and adding the measurements,
It is worth putting a short piece of plank under the wheel to distribute the load across the scales, it will only be a Kg so within the accuracy of the measurements and it will reduce the possibility of bending the top (from experiance!)

Quick note on weighing, if you are going to swap one scale from front to back, to be accurate the bike needs to remain level so you put a packing piece under the opposite wheel that is the same height as the scale, if you dont do this your result will be under the actual weight.
if it's a very low scale and the bike is long it makes little difference but if the scale is quite high and the bike quite short it can be out a couple pounds if you don't level

I always wondered whether the large recycling facilities that have weigh bridges would let people use them if you talked nicely to the chaps there

I thought about chatting to them when i had a Westfield but never got around to it!

The public tip where I take all the waste from work has a big weigh bridge and as soon as you drive on there's a display on the wall, so just ride up and stop on the scales, then go in and ask what time they close

Construction update: rear auxiliary fuel tank being crafted while I’m away with work and a Chinese Acerbis 12.5 litre tank ordered, pics galore when home. Should give me around 20/22 litres overall .. screen from Baja performance on order also, where does it stop...?!!!
