Two months after passing my test in 1996 I rode my XT600E to Fontainebleau for a camping/bouldering week.
Went with my girlfriend (at the time), she was on her XT550.

2000, just bought my new CBR600 being in the Army and living in Germany had to ride back to the UK for leave. Very scary at the time.
First proper bike tour abroad was only about 5 years ago to the Alps, Italy, Austria on my Ducati Multistrada 1200.

Honda 350K4 in 1979 and again in 1980 down to the Med, fully loaded with tenting gear and 2 up, never missed a beat, the good ol' days lol! (thumbs)

Honda CB750 4 in 1974, came home on leave from Germany and bought one for £1000 an awful lot of money then. The start of my touring addiction which is as strong today.

Sept 2012 I had my very first experience on the continent for 2wks. wOOw such a fabulous experience riding my (2008) Suzuki V-Strom DL1000GT two up, not one bit of trouble in 3k miles ridden.
We focused on Switzerland and Austria...... Sublime!
Role on the next one..!!

TZR250, twas great around the woods and back roads around Paul Richard circuit, my wife was on a DT125R with power valve so it could happily sit at 80+

1998 Kawasaki ER-5.
2 up with soft panniers to Paris. It was glorious from Calais to about 3/4 of the way then chucked it down and all our stuff got wet.
