Cheers for that. I get the way you're thinking now.
I hope you'll get it sorted. At least you'll learn from it ! (thumbs)

Keep it going fella I also love this sort of thing and you've got me interested in a similar project and you learn as you go.(as long as it doesn't cost too much!) I do hope you can restore that engine and even restore it so that it runs again, you will feel an enormous sense of achievement I bet (thumbs)

Hmm... I'll most likely learn not to do it again but we'll see... :whistle:Dutchgit wrote:Cheers for that. I get the way you're thinking now.

From what I've seen so far it will most likely cost quite a bit but hopefully I'll get the reward. Ok, whilst waiting for a decent set of ring spanners to arrive and printing off another fifty pages of the workshop manual...
Rear subframe, side stand and rear axle nut removed, the axle nut took a bit of effort, the only spanner I had big enough for the job was an old plumbers wrench, a total lack of purchase was overcome with a four foot sash cramp slid over the handle of said plumbers wrench and slowly but surely of it came!
With all that done I can get at the rear shock but that's another job for the "decent set of ring spanners"!
Now I have a question for you...
Should the rear disk have any play in it? It moves slightly against the wheel hub?! :S

Re: How "NOT" to Husky
If its a floating disc then you may feel slight movement which is ok as it's moving on the little pins about half way around the disc! But i don't think it should be moving actually where it is bolted to the hub.

That's the reason I was asking if you'd take it apart out of interest Hu55ky.mikeyboy wrote:Quality
If there's parts coming out through the "walls" you can bet there's a big party going on inside.
Good luck with whatever you decide on it.
It'll end in tears I tells ya.

Have I missed how it actually happened or did you buy it like this?
