Yes there is, support your local groups. I get involved with ROW issues, letter writing, lane clearing and the very odd ride out if asked. You don't have to be a member to be involved, you could even donate to your local or any other group for a particular project if that suited you.

The TRF is stronger than ever certainly in the Devon section. I dont get involved in the national politics and just ride with mates plus take anyone out that wants to go. A good example of this is the Princetown event which I led a ride and all enjoyed it.

Without the TRF we wouldnt have some of the lanes to ride as there are many that want to shut them for bikes etc.

Xmas eve 21 riders ventured out on the lanes collecting for the Devon Air Ambulance which was great . Chagford came to a standstill as people waved and smiled when we rode away after lunch.

The Surrey TRF Christmas Ride was a great success today, ending up with approximately 45 of us meeting at Hindhead for mince pies, coffee and a few pics.
Our local group works very well and liaises with other groups that want to have local guides to show them round our area.
The TRF isnt extinct here!

I started a Hereford TRF group a few months ago and we have 40 members attending meetings each month.
The TRF is growing here.

the Cambridge group is strong also with 30 or 40 members attending monthly meetings. Today there are about 20 ( 3 groups in different directions) of us going out on our Christmas run. The problem is not with the groups, nor is it with a vast majority of the members. Its just 2 or three people who think they know what is best for the TRF and the Lanes who are ( trying to ) dragooning the rest. who are treating the TRF and its assets as a company they had grown as opposed to one that is being funded with members subscriptions, spending significant chunks of its money to maintain power with propaganda, legal fee's, bribery ( Free tickets to events in return for attending meetings) and inappropriate expenses ( meals, booze and Hotels).

In a similar vein, the Yorkshire and Oxford groups are very healthy. (thumbs)

As has been said, the problems lie at National level.
