you can buy all this stuff on the ferry over, but its cheaper in halfords here, and you could probably fleabay cheaper stuff too as long as its got the correct EC standard.

watch it in halfords, or any shop really, in the same slot on the shelf were some with a 6mth use by date, and some with a 18mth date.

I find the complete opposite - I've been let off with stuff because I was a foreigner, and had friendly waves from French bike cops. I suppose you find what you're looking for.

i dont remember SEEING a cop last time we were there, except down in angouleme and they were only there to ogle the posh totty in the expensive motors
