I usually cant be arsed wearing wet gear everyday. Can't dry it in the house as my mum says it'll make a mess and the garage is too cold.

The weather is not helping traffic in Glasgow so may use the bike to skip past the ridiculous jams.

My wife still commutes on a bike unless it's chucking it down with rain but she's started taking a slightly longer route than she would in the car because the narrow little roads inside a 5 mile radius of our house are covered in slime from farm vehicles and more than a bit slippery.

I've not commuted on a bike for years unless I'm on a course where I'm travelling from home and the traffic is going to be heavy but that's because under normal circumstances I'm away from home all week and need my company van. The fact that they tried to offer me 50% of the rate they pay for company use of a private car also put me off so it's got to be a seriously congested commute for me to use a bike.
