Could I give you my phone number so you can phone me during the podium ceremony, so I can join in the booing of Marquez and Lorenzo?

For what it's worth after thus nutty year the long range weather report is fine for next weekend at Valencia - not so sure about your ride down from Bilbao though!

Actually it will be a 'xiulada' (chiulada in Spanish):

This was for the benefit of the King of Spain at the start of this year's Copa del Rey - roughly the old FA Cup - the whistling doesn't come across anywhere near as loud as it was - but note it completely drown the national anthem on the PA!

Just be careful who your neighbours are if you join in!

PS The K of Sp is not a happy bunny right now ...

PPS you get a better idea of it from the stands rather than an 'official' video!

I rode down 3 years ago, really enjoyed it. As everyone has said your ticket is for a grandstand which is your seat for the whole event. I found that the stewards were ok for letting you watch from where you wanted on Friday & Saturday.

I stayed at a hotel in the town next to a brand new football stadium that was completely built about 3 years before but had not painted and had never been used?? The hotel was good a few fans and some moto 3 teams staying made it a good atmosphere. I rode into the circuit every day, the most annoying thing was is that I got pulled up every time, 3 in total by the Spanish police on the way back from the circuit for a document check,

getting excited now. Fly out tomorrow evening. Hopefully everyone's ducks line up and there is a thrilling final race - not just a Lorenzo parade.

Viva Espana and Forza Vale!

Now CAS have knocked back Vale's case I wouldn't bother. It's going to be a one horse race, completely ruined the championship.

That's a bummer :( . Poetic justice would be if Marquez takes out Lorenzo whilst trying to pass Rossi...

I didn't see it going any other way to be honest but I don't think Lorenzo will win and there's always the chance of a crash.

Rossi has more of a chance of winning the title from the back of the grid while he still has a lead in the Championship than if he'd been directly penalized in the race.

Me and a mate are booked on the ferry from Potsmouth to Bilbao on wednesday morning.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday, back home on tuesday.

Fingers crossed that it's not to cold/wet/windy.

Excited, excited, excited.
Not wishing to rain on your parade  but I hope it pisses down during the race

I want to be the person putting out the pit boards for Lorenzo because he's going to be sitting back taking it easy just keeping where he needs to be to get the required number of points and a lap from the end I could tell him he needs to make 2 places

I foresee a bit of Spanish red mist and latin temprement taking over...Marquez will want to end the season on a high, Lorenzo will be over-cautious, and the others will want to keep well out of the way so they don't get blamed by either Rossi or Lorenzo when one of them loses the title. They will probably all be worried about eachother rather than running their own race and end-up tangling. Rossi is usually the master tactician so he could still come out on top due to his mental edge (thumbs) .
