Well looking at the picture that sprockette posted I think that could be the ultimate abr,tho he might have to watch his tights on the brambles and things:ohmy: Ive just come back from my first 'big' tour about 1220 miles over a week from Ipres belguim to vianden luxembourg and along the mosel vally,me on a v strom and three others on goldwings.I can now ride 183 miles before a numb bum stop is needed!!If anybody is in vianden there is a fantastic pizza restaurant at the hotel petry with good beer too.The camp site by the river is great too(forgotten the name at the moment but when I remember I'll post it.)I'll put some photos on when I've down loaded them off the camera

I ride a naked hornet, drive a car to work. I don't ride when I don't want to.
I love to set off on the open road exploring and doing my thing.
My take on the Adventure Rider thing is
Someone who goes where he/she wants to, does it there way and enjoys most of the trip. The rest of the trip can be a bit of an endurance exercise but is happy to do it.
They will do this again and again one finishing one trip will look forward and start planning for the next.
They do there own thing focused and sod the rest.

Bet he could get to Mount Doom a bit sharpish. Wonder how big your thighs have to be to successfully take a CBX1000 off road.
Love it might just copy it and use as my desktop:whistle:

If every ride is an adventure then that can be on anything from a C50 to Goldwing.
But "adventure bike riders" are different as we purchased a machine to make the adventure more pleasurable ...
I agree with all the above and would like to add that we bike and kit we buy are items that we would like to think can take us that little bit further from the well used roads of our familiar life.
Suggest you Look at my signature hehe
