Yeah, that's just how I feel Hugh. I never really anticipated being 54. Given the places and the ways in which I have ridden motorbikes for decades I genuinely thought I would have crashed and burned years before now! And also, I don't have a sensible older person's mind. I'm still mentally a teenager in so many ways, with a childish sense of humour and very little respect or deference for age as an arbiter of wisdom. Hopefully I'll be rebellious, self-deprecating and retain a critical mind way into my 70s and 80s (if I haven't crashed and burned by then that is, because I've no intention of giving up biking). What is probably going to get me is early onset Alzheimers or whatever. I'm getting more and more forgetful by the day.
Yeah that's just how I feel Hugh..
