Just like many on here I was watching it live, excited about the race as usual.

We see guys coming off at speed time and time again as these racers try to eeck out another 10th of a second beyond the limit and we all say time and time again i cant belive they dont get hurt badly more often.

Crashing has and always will be a part of bike racing at every leval and every discipline but as soon as i saw marco and colin today I felt it was really bad looking at marco not moving lying on the track i felt sick and knew inside the worst had happened

Im sure everyone is saddened greatly at the loss of this very young man who bought moto gp to life with a real racers spirit and talent

I cant even imagine how his family and close friends are as i didnt even meet him and im choked up and cant belive it

Just heard about this on FB. Sad news. Haven't seen anything yet as I'm away for the weekend. Just put the BBC news on to see if it is mentioned.

I was watching the BBC sports news. The order of importance was; Rugby, Football, more football, golf, MotoGP.

RIP Marco #58 - what a talent we've lost.I thought it looked serious because he remained motionless for too long. I was looking forward to see him with short hair in the near future...

OMG.....

Unbelievable news. My favorite rider in GP racing. RIP Marco. My thoughts are with Marco and his friends and family at this very difficult time.

Unbelievably bad news, I am she'll shocked. MotoGP has lost one of only a few true larger than life characters it has. As others have said, he lost his life doing something he loved. RIP Simo.

I am still in shock and I would not be surprised if Vale calls it a day now :(

I think you're right. He was a good mate and he was involved in the accident that killed him.

RIP Marco, you had your moments - an absolute star nonetheless. No-one will forget that hair!
