The 450 sits almost upright, which is fine if your parking on a beach but elsewhere it’s scary leaving it.
As standard, 5 to 10mm would be enough but the taper would be too wide for 40mm.

That’s I was wondering if it was aluminium. I suspect so meaning I can weld it. The SM was considerably lower than the enduro, that’s why I requested the stand off it. I’ll ring them and ask them to measure the enduro stand

I think you made the right decision after all the research you did.

Side stand is approx 410 and mild steel. I think I may stick with the super Moto one they put on the order as it’s 350. I did think the husky sat too upright before.

Friends son works for Husqvarna, so I asked him. He has replied

The shorter side stand does fit, which if you are spending 8k on a new bike plus having it lowered I suggest doing it. With regards to having a set of Supermoto wheels, it does work however the cost soon limits the number of people that actually do it. You have to buy the 701 Enduro and turn it into a SM if required. It does not work the other way around.

No bothered about the SM wheels

I’ve put Mitas E07’s on the 690 but left it as original otherwise and it’s great fun on the back roads but still looks ‘off road’ like and would be fine on easier lanes. Wouldn’t fancy mud and roots or rocks though. It’s great for 50 to 100 mile or so rides, which is all I need now.

Front brake needs a boost as it’s a bit soft for proper road use but, having been sat for a couple of months now, it feels it could do with a bleed or, if not, maybe a pad upgrade.

Don't want to tell you how to suck eggs but before spending unnecessarily ......
take the pads out, push back piston, clean up the pad securing pin, copperslip the caliper sliding pins and reassemble. Put the bike on side stand, turn bars to the left so that front caliper is the highest point in the front brake circuit, pull the front brake lever in and let it flick out in quick succession to release any air.

Brake numpty here so no eggs to be sucked.
