New top gear

Post by -Ralph- »

Just given up trying to watch it on iPlayer because the conversation on Facebook about Sena Bluetooth headsets was more interesting, so I wasn't watching.

Says a lot that doesn't it!

Watched Top Gear last night and really enjoyed it.
Far better than last years and dare I say better then Clarkson and co.
As a petrol head (cars and bikes) its great to see a proper car journalist on the show and I think Chris Harris has stepped up very well.
I'm even starting to like Matt Le Blanc.
They don't gel as well as the old three but neither did they went they first got together.
And that new Alfa looks the bollocks..

It's watchable, but how did that Harris Dude get snow chains fitted to his Blue car in time to catch up to the other fella in his Blue car?
......I was riding my CCM GP450s Adventure yesterday and rode past a Garage that sold Italian cars, I saw the same Italian Red car as they tested on the show, at least I think it was the same....all cars look the same to me.

Well, that Rory fella's contribution was practically nil.
Other than that I enjoyed it.

Still not the right team to head it up i dont think. rarely successful in re running a very successful program.
None of them have any character. time will tell i hope

I watched it, short of new ideas I thought. I don't like the new team, I find them more annoying that the Clarksons team, but I liked Clarksons team as they were trying to be annoying. ;)

I never thought i'd find TG dull as ditchwater... but thats what it has become.
These presenters are not right for this show at all, they have no charisma and just dont spark off each other like Clarkson, Hammond & May used to. The studio segments are embarrassing its so stilted.
I reckon the ratings for this series will drop through the floor just like they did with the last series.

I managed about 10 mins--but apparently missed the new Alpha--which I really like the look of. I really wouldn't make a point of watching it anymore as it really drags.

This series is better than the first now they've dropped Evans. Yes he knows his cars and buys them but his style was overpowering and oh so TGIF. Maybe he only has one style!

Agree the presenters appear wooden with not a lot of spark but it is soo much better than the smug three with their inuendo and constantly smirking "look how much licence fee we're pissing up the wall"

So I'll be sticking with it. Not seem TGT on Amazon so no idea what the smug ones are doing now
