I've been that bloke in the car.

a black 1250 faired Bandit with full panniers in black, rider in black leathers, boots and helmet. Can only think I lost sight of his headlight amongst other traffic and their lights etc

Scared the crap out of me and him

I'm not one for wearing a day glo romper suit but kitting up like a Ninja & relying on just the headlight, is begging for trouble on one of those 'cold wet windy nights in Stoke' evenings.

Man flu on the decrease, suns shining so I better get out there & restock on soup & paracetamol.

Glad your ok and hopefully the driver will not daydream as much in the future.

I had a similar one years ago outside work on a busy T junction, I was coming to the junction as the car just shot out of the junction into the side of me, fortunately he'd braked and came to rest with his bumper on my leg, I had a bruise from the bumper.
Then he started shouting at me to get out of the way, so after I moved forwards he wheel spun round me and nearly hit another car then disappeared into town.
About a minute later I pulled up beside him in the queue of traffic and tapped on his window, he didn't wind it down so I "found" his wing mirror on the floor and kindly put it on his bonnet for him.

I'm intrigued, did you go back to check on him? May be he had a stroke?

Exactly the same a few years ago on the way home from work. The driver of the car who pulled out on me, didn't stop. Just kept right on going. I was standing on the pegs trying to bring the BMW under control.
Managed to stop but stalled the bike in the process. He just carried on. For all he knew I was toast on the road surface.
Went after him but he just ignored my attempts to communicate with him and kept looking forward.
What can you do?
