Seeing the front end on the floor like that reminds me of Bishop being ripped in half at the end of Aliens :(

It would take some force to bend that pin.

Do not see why you could not just drift out the old pin and get someone to turn up a new pin on their lathe, maybe this beyond the capability of BMW.
