music lovers and partygoers? ten/fifteen years ago perhaps, and maybe glastonbury is still like that i dont know. but with all the tent burglaries, assaults, injuries on broken bottles, and general manners of the bastards (think of thousands of gallagher/winehouse types) that goes on but gets brushed under the carpet for publicity/tourism reasons, theres no way id let my kids go to one these days.
oh yeah i forgot, (and i guess its quite funny as long as its not you) what the skanks do now is roam the campsite in the dead of night and shit in your wellies if you leave them out drying.
glad i dont do it anymore. anyway, sorry to hijack the thread with my ranting, im going for a ride to test my new vid cam, its sunny out

Bring back the children of the sun, flower power, free love and enlightenment. Even in 1980 when we travelled in my GF VW beetle (i had a 1964 Triumph T100). The Peace festival in Nottingham was like stepping back in time, can't remember much about it though :laugh:

There's still good festivals about, with respectful crowds, good organisation and less wastefulness. Mostly on the continent though, like Fusion Fest in Germany. Yes it's amazingly sunny now, time for a ride
Re: Eurohike Backpacker Tent
yes there must be some good folks about, has to be.
and i never did get to go out for a ride in the sun, i just finished cleaning the hell out my varadero when my mrs called to say i was going to the restaurant for her sisters birthday.
anyway, back to the tent, it looks ok for the money. better than those supermarket fiver festival tents weve been talking about anyway.

ell, as a Scotsman I'm always looking for a bargain! Here's what I found a couple of yrs ago;
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gelert-Tornado-3- ... 4cf0172e29
I usually get a couple of seasons out of a tent and this will be the 2nd with the Gelert, I got mine for £29.00. 3 person so plenty of space for the two of us and our gear. The porch is excellent, plenty of room to cook by gas if necessary, wouldn't risk the Trangia indoors!
But I've tried b&b but still prefer camping, it's part of the adventure to us!

Vango also seem to do a nice range of tents, in the mid price range. The Vango banshee 3 person tent fits neatly inside a top box. On Ebay for around £70ish
