need help with 93 tiger 900 electrical problem

thanks tony, but it is all i can do to stop myself from giving this bike a badly wanted pounding with a 40 ton track machine and then throwing whats left into the nearest hole. i kind got what he means as the lads in the shop were saying something along the same lines, but he seems to know alot more than me about electrical and i think what he is saying is that a problem inside the ingitor is effecting some things that are connected to it in some way, as the lights and rev counter and most things are also on the ground wire they are being affected in some way too

well tony23, i have to find out if they are right, i guess the only way to do this is to buy an ignitor. :woohoo: keep it safe on the road .

have you had the generator off??? and checked for black burnt windings and reg rec sounds like it could be kicking out to much if battery checks out these 2 sound like the culprit otherwise check your earths as there are several battery engine and usually an earth block in the loom if all the above are ok check the ecu/cdi system

triumph have a great diagnostic unit if its compatible with your bike plugs in and fault finds maybe you need a rolling diagnostic to make fault happen

bull dont waste money on an igniter just yet. We both live on the same island and i will bring my tiger to you and i will put my igniter in your tiger and then we will know for sure if it is the problem. thats the best i can do.
