Monkey butt cream and Tux , I guess your hoping to get lucky on the Reckam
?
nothing better on a rainy day than packing for a trip
I have moved things around this time and taking a bit more Gear/stuff that I wont use
. In the past I have had a Lomo Duffle bag across the back, but its always annoyed slightly when moving position on the bike, so have gone to magadans and careful packing, Hope it works out

As stated previously......here are some idea pics of what I bring. Peep over in Page One every now and then for updated tips and edits.
Try to travel light as possible....you will be picking your moto up for sure.....I do not carry anything on my rear rack except four bottles of water. Aim to replenish to keep it at four when you can.
Refer to Points 21 and 22 in the tips section.
Panniers are not massive...if the majority of my riding was not in Europe I'd have soft panniers..but also they need to be secure when in Europe due to the high number of scummers willing to steal. Your moto will be safe there.

Two man tent...easily squeezes into a sleeping bag outer....it's done OK all on all of this summers jaunts and will do for this trip until I find a stronger bag kicking about.

Another sleeping bag cover for my chair and cot to sleep on. If I didn't prefer sleeping on my side this would be left at home. My enduro bum bag is secured as it is most years, on the rear of my seat....ready access to tools so one does not have to empty panniers to look for same.
Rear rack empty for 4x 1,5L bottles of water ( plus the 1,5L in your camel back).......for drinking through the day, for dinner at night and coffee in the morning. Beat in mind too you might need it also if you split a coolant hose or radiator.

RHS pannier
Yes.....metal boxes...would be better in alloy...but I can't find any alloy plastic bullet round boxes
Decathlon cheap trainers stash in.

The top one is my full kit......carry this in to an hotel with gloves and GPS in my helmet with my arm through it, trainers tucked in under my armpit and overnight box in my other hand..... a pen on my ear to fill out hotel registration. They'll have one pen for al of us. This means I do not have to return to my moto 177,000 times to get pruk. Panniers will be safe on the bike as will be my bum bag.

Bottom box will have my winter jacket and trouser liners, fleece, winter gloves and wolly socks...just fit just nicely in. It can rain in Spain.
Beside this in the strong plastic container is other kit as seen below.....chain breaker and tiny compressor. Stash some JB Weld.

All my clothes and bathroom kit for three weeks is in here. Most people bring too many clothes. if you need more or some get destroyed just buy some like the locals have to do, next time you're at a shop getting food.

Here you'll find two rolls of a T shirt, socks and boxers. A large size Decathlon fibre quick drying towel, a pair of those same Decathlon very light summer trousers...the nerdy ones where the legs zip off so you can have shorts, and the rest you can see what's what in the images.
Towel can be rolled even tighter if so desired

Insect repellant....not really necessary all of the time but I have room....it's date harvest time when we get there so theres the odd fly whizzing about..why not?

Make up wipes as opposed to baby wipes...baby wipes will not remove grease or oil in the same way as these do....double up for toilet if required.

Trousers rolled will be smaller than folded

Small deodorant and shavers.... I use my shower gel to shave but if you have room for a tube of King of Shaves gel add that. It's the best product I've found to date. Shaving oil is an option as it's so small but doesn't really work for me due to the water there. Try by all means. As the air is dry there you don't sweat as much as we do in Europe when riding on a hot day. You're well flushed out due to the water intake.....at the end of a days ride there'll very little odour.

Roll like so and slide socks over the ends

These can be tramped on whilst having a shower and hung out to dry...if they're still slightly damp in the morning, pack and hang over handles bars when you stop for lunch.

Left Hand pannier....
The zip on my sleeping bag is still zapped...next bag will be of a smaller size, I keep promising this each year as the sack straps catch on the pannier lips....hey ho.

It does not get too cold at night in the desert...fridge temperature.....5 or 6 degrees upwards.

Small Decathlon canteen kit has served me well as has my petrol stove....no need to look for gas bottles. Cereal bars can be squeezed in here and there. Avoid chocolate chip types as they melt. Small diameter fajitas fit on top of canteen

I bring a HP Printer to print out photos for the wee nippers in the desert villages. Pens will be stashed in here too to be given out with each image.

A couple of rubbish bags stashed and a clothes line if needed

Stodgy cuppa soups for four people make an ideal one person meal
Salt and pepper, cutlery and a lighter for the stove. I clean stove with sand and water.

Below stove.....Container of cappuccino to include powdered milk; breakfast with a cereal bar or two.....Decathlon blow up mattress....makes my cot even better.

First aid kit stays on the bottom.
