Sorry boys and girls but I'm out. A lot of financial uncertainty due to a major house rebuild this time next year and with a wobbling exchange rate I just can't commit - and coming back with any form of injury would be a disaster as I'm the hoddy!

One thing, way back I reserved a good room at Ronda, which is an ideal stopping off point for getting a ferry from Algeciras, for the night before the proposed crossing. One other guy did the same. I know the hotel, the Hotel Andalusia, and it's a good place in a residential zone next to the train station - it's also on the edge of the free parking zone for folks with vans - whereas most hotels are in the old town which is a PITA to drive/ride through.

I booked it through booking.com and don't have to cancel until the last minute - although I'd like to get it done before I forget and have to pay! - but if anyone one want's to 'synchronise' so as to be sure of availability then get in touch.

Have a great time and maybe we'll see some of you you one the way down?

Cheers

Simon

Sorry to hear that Simon. It's hard to do everything that we want or need to do. Always need to get our priorities right (thumbs)

A house rebuilt ain't the cheapest at the best of times and as you say with the wobbling exchange rate it brings up a lot of uncertainty!

YES! I've won 5th prize in the la Primitiva national lottery, an entire €8 (thumbs) (thumbs) (thumbs) (thumbs)

So, according to my previous 'form, I have another twenty-two years to go for the next big win ...
