None of us have a clue how to do this …

Planning a little soiree, then post it up here. And please, no commercial stuff, this forum is about people not products or services - send us a press release.

If you fill up at the morning RV ( Countess Services) you will be absolutely fine

I'm a novice to all this but today I took my bike replete with new hard panniers, filled her up & then did one or two of next Saturdays routes - no problems

Sorry fellas, due to personal matters I'm going to have to drop out of this one. :(

Hopefully I'll be able to see some of you on the ABR Midlands Simmer rally :)

Have a cracking time guys, I want to see plenty of pics from the day and hopefully no serious offs (apart from the slow piss-taking ones). :D

Hi jelly..

As long as you have enough for 100mls + reserve it`ll be fine as we are no more than 25mls from fuel at anypoint..

22ltrs fuel =22kg ? but on a 230kg bike + say 90kg rider it dont make any difference at all

sorry to hear that hans maybe another time...

Good point there Tramp, cheers.

I have booked a tent space here http://www.the-barge-inn.com/campsite.php on Friday evening and possibly Saturday (depending on how knackered I am after the day). I'll be on an Orange F800GS. I know some of you are also booked and look forward to meeting you.

As promised, I took the Landie over the Plain this morning to check out what condition the pistes are in & to take some photos, so that you know what to expect. So, here we go or should I say, here’s where you’ll be going …across the Larkhill impact area

Image

The tracks are quite hard & dry at the moment but rutted in places

Image

There are some areas of broken tarmac

Image

but mostly its finest quality MoD gravel

Image

with the odd pot hole thrown in for good measure

Image

So, there you have it, see y'all on the perimeter track next Saturday

I hope I don't have to eat these words when I'm picking the Vara up but...

It all looks a bit tame doesn't it?

Not that I'm complaining or anything, still looking forward to it immensely. :)
