Weather looked good this morning so rode over to Cangas de Onis then back and up to Sotres. From there I took the track across to Espinama.

There were some really tough bits especially as I don’t have engine braking or a clutch I can choose to use. But, as ever, the hardy little Innova made it all the way. Did get a few funny looks from the Spanish guys on their Teneres and GSs.

Chris, either you are brilliant at Photoshopping yourself and the Innova onto incredible scenery or you are a truly inspirational biker who puts most of us to shame with your fantastic adventures on the surprisingly capable Honda. I know which one my money is on. Thanks for all the entertaining posts, please keep it up and I hope you enjoy the remainder of your trip of which I am just a tiny bit jealous, regards, Martin

Very kind, and it’s definitely not photoshopping, I’ve definitely been to all these places….

Covadonga is worth a visit and you may be able to get up to the lakes if the barrier isn't down, they try to force you onto coaches in the high season but we have got passed previously. Also Gavarnie if you have the time.

Just a casual days riding today. Met a couple of blokes from the UK out here touring, nice to not have to use my dodgy Spanish accent for a bit.
Took in the obligatory deer and bear statues.

Just the ferry to go and then the ride home tomorrow
Trip stats:
Mileage: 1,750
Best mpg: 157mpg
Total cost for fuel: £94

Taking the tent definitely cut the costs down and cooking my own food made the trip much cheaper. The most expensive part was the ferry cost and £200 for four night’s accommodation in Potes (though it was totally worth it!)

Got a week off in September so will probably take the PCX down to Switzerland or something like that….
