I ask a local for directions to a barbers and we head there convincing Dave that he needs his wool clipped and that if he gets it clipped he can have any woman he wants.

I take a picture of advertising and Al and Dave argue who can have three and who can have two......I tell them it's an advert and that the ladies don't live in the house that the board is on. I grab their ears and clunk their heads together.

Image

We get Dave to the wool shop.......Dave asks me to translate what style he would like......just a bit off the sides and filtered in gently to match the rest on top.

I then tell the man in French, to cut the sides tight and that Dave wants a big obvious line left on each side of his head. After a weird look at Dave via the mirror in front of him the barber starts and finishes.

Dave checks it and is aghast........Al and I are outside hosing ourselves; we even get a street car park attendant to come over and look.

He asks me to translate to the barber that he wants it filtered in delicately.

I tell the barber Dave now wants a hairstyle copying that of a certain notorious German army regiment in WW2.

I explain that he'd get a good tip if he does it just so.

Al and I club together and slip him a handful of coins.

We dander back down to the hotel where Al emails his photo shoot proofs to head office. We then go back to the square where we'll meet some of the others and dine for the same few quid.

We'll be heading back to Tanger Med the next morning ti get the ferry across to Europe.

That night Al completes his work on the stock photos after approval from head office.

He's very good at taking pictures of men, we all find.

The next morning we check out and pay for our parking... 6 quid for two days....not bad for high tourist spot IMO.

We'll take the twiisties that will take us to Tetouan then autoroute to Tanger Med. Rather ran ride around the town for fuel there'll be couple of stations on the Route National heading north and not far out from Chefchaouen.

We arrive at the port and buy our ticket then get through customs easily.

Top Tip......at the long queue at the X ray lorry that checks vehicles primarily for stowaways, ride to the front and thumbs up to the security guard.

They usually wave you on through as you'll not be smuggling people out unless they're chopped up and squeezed into your panniers.

Arrive at the ferry lane and wait then embark.

The few euros that you kept in your pocket at the start of the ride can now be used to buy lunch as they'll not accept dirhams.

Daves trip resulted in a veritable Ali Baba purchase
