The people you meet!
This American grandparent couple are in the third instalment of their round the world tandem bike trip.
Year 1 the US west to east. Year 2 London to Istanbul. This year Istanbul to Almaty. (They’ve already done Africa, Cairo to Cape Town. We saw them in eastern Turkey. Young Chinese pair on big Beemers, riding to Germany. Very nice kids, seen in Tbilisi, Georgia. Very cheerful Indian guy pedalling solo India to London. Spotted at Georgia/Turkey border and was surprised by my question when I asked if it was hard going. Great people.

Re: A photo you took, today
We - Mrs vb & I - were out on a long e-cycle ride in today's glorious weather, stopped for a bit of lunch at a Margate tea hut and chatted to a Dutch geezer who was cycling to the Shetlands on his very fully-loaded bicycle. Not quite Cairo to Cape Town (as per gbags's post above) but still admirable.

1st picture - At first glance I thought you'd taken a swingball to the rally
Great view first thing in the morning, staring out at an F8GS

After three days assisting with a house move, thought it only right & proper to go get some "me" time out on the bike

Like something out oh Harry Potter.
I tried it. It worked. Looking back, that would have made a better photo. Doh!
