As an utter newbie, and I don't know anyone: would I be alright to come along Friday eve till Sat lunch? :unsure:

Don't worry about it. I think they are quite a few of us who don't know anyone. I'm sure a few beers can solve that...

Agree..last year i turned up on the Sunday for a couple of hours not knowing a sole..but within a few mins once people knew who i was the piss taking had started....both ways.

You will be fine...even now i don't know many people going...i will just turn up and start talking to people...if they don't punch or slap me then i'll carry on.
