Im in agreement EMF, however there is always the part of me that wants to bid less than what my maximum is, I've had too many people offer me second chances which indicate they have had a friend bid up their items..

The only problem with putting your highest bid in early is that it tends to rack up the price by giving folk more time to up their bid and you end up in a bidding war.

Yes why I always try to bid my maximum within the last 10 s but doesn't help when windows crashes

Just picked up a 1150 GSA seat for £40 delivered, they go for £100+ all day long on eBay if you can get one - so more than £12 saved already

Can I change it B) may be I'm just really unlucky started up my work pc this morning and got the blue screen of death. Whats really bugood me is that I watched this avidly as it looked perfect for me for 7-10 days.

Ebay has gone the way of the car boot sale...

You used to turn up, have a wander & come away with a bargain having spent no more than a fiver.

Now it's all dodgy geezers in plastic leather jackets flogging lighters & bongs.

Bargains are still there, but I prefer the buy/sell pages on sites like this - targeted audience who know the value (or not) of what you're flogging....

My thoughts too, I've often found items on Ebay that are for sale at a higher price than buying new from a dealer, recently I was looking for a battery box for an EXC and found a second hand one on ebay for £20, a new one from KTM is £12 :blink: fuel relay for a Peugeot on Ebay was over £20, from the local Peugeot dealer is was around £10, so check your prices before bidding.
I also just but my max bid + a few pence and walk away, I don't bother checking it at all and just wait till I get a notification.

My son bought some music equipment brand new off the internet.

Short time after decided he didn't want it, still within the return period.

Instead popped it up on eBay because he would have been paying the postage cost of the return. Sold it for more than it cost, buyer paid the postage.

Was a good lesson....
