Regularly came across them when we lived in Aussie. Just gave the bike a bit of welly and no probs, even on my Harley.

We did 9 day in Namibia last year and a very large percentage of roads there are grated. After a few days you will learn that finding the right speed is the key, however, be careful when the road surface suddenly changes to thick sand...it can be interesting!

Stand on the pegs, lean as far back as you can and give it some welly!!

Corragations are least of your worry, was in senegal years ago and.the trucks and bush taxis take the smoothest least pot holed bit of road regardless of right or wrong side...hey its Africa...we where in a sj jeep collecting crintin for roofs...
