A pair of DD tarps here, really versatile and great with a smaller tent!

Love my Coleman, I used it Spain to keep the heat off the one man tent and found it useful to keep the rain off in UK
About £50 new

DD tarps use loops which I think hold up better than eyelets and are well spaced making it easy to use in all manner of configurations. You tube has some good info about them.
Re: Tell me about Tarps...
I use a Decathlon tarp which has the usual eyelets.
For additional flexibility I also use the 'Clingon' adjustable clips

Re: Tell me about Tarps...
I bought a 4.5 x 3.6m one and in France essential for shade, over here more useful for rain shelter but excellent in both applications. We didn't put it over a tent, just over the tent doors but used it as a shared open area for a few of us to use and get some shade/shelter.
Downside is big tarp = big sail means they don't like wind. We did use the Ks to tie it down but a windy night it would move any bike so be careful if using bikes as anchors....
We got the hang of putting it up and down quickly but avoid making it too tight, A flapping tarp while annoying is fine because its spilling the wind off it.
The ideal is also to have a small one as well that will go above tent door.
I have a tent with a large porch and 3 doors so its like a tarp [Coleman Coastline 3 plus] rather than a small tent/tarp and I now only use the tarp for extended trips to France and as a sun shade at home......put hooks on the side of the house and to a well placed pole.

Re: Tell me about Tarps...
Ordered the DD Tarp M (2.4x3.5m) on Fri afternoon and it was delivered on Sat morning - now that's great service.
I set it up yesterday, and think it'll do the job nicely. Here's the end result.
I also bought one of these, and it's just so simple that it blew my mind...
