I have 4 bikes insured with different company's and the total is still cheaper than any multibike policy i can find with any single provider. It's a bit off a faf when they come to renewal with all the comparison sites etc but it's well worth it in the end.

Just moved my insurance to Bennetts tonight for the KLV1000 for £119.

£3 of that for credit card payment and I went for helmet and leathers cover, legal, personal accident cover up to £10000, and basic breakdown cover (I already have Autoaid, so this isn't that important) for £36.

Without these, it would have been £80!!!

I'm 46, got 3 years no claims on this bike, with pillion, commuting, £250 excess, 5000 miles a year.

Oh, and (hopefully) £20 back from Quidco in a few months time....

Happy with that (thumbs)

Andy.

What's not to understand? They are not "service providers" but rather businesses with a duty to return profits to shareholders. So that's what they primarily focus on - making money.

Where did you get "service providers" from?

Another Bennetts customer here who will be on the phone telling em to cancel my renewal, got the old fazer and a 660 tenere on multi bike policy last couple of years, renewal price about double what it was last year, just done a bit of checking prices on the net as you do and as a few people have mentioned already it seems a lot cheaper to do separate policies.

For comparison, living in rural Spain, I recently insured my 2007 Kawasaki ZX10R fully comp for €560, and my 1990 Yamaha XT600e third party for €89. Both policies include 90 days EU cover and EU accident and breakdown recovery. Spanish policies also insure the vehicle, not the driver/rider, so the bikes are insured for any rider over 25 years old.

I change insurance providers most years too.If they try and take the Mick with their renewal quote I just go elsewhere. That is supposed to be their best price and I'm not going to play the game of phoning up to get a better one.

It's not just the renewal price - just use a comparison site and see the liability/excess
I am sticking with post office again - £175 excess
Some are 600 to £1000 on any claim!!!!!!

Not from this thread, but some people often appear to think that insurance companies' primary responsibility and/or aim is to provide a service.

I've been with Motorcycle Direct for the last few years as they have been competetive and I don't mind staying with them if there is just a few quid difference to save the hassle. However the GSA quote was almost double from them than it was on compare the meerkat. Needless to say they lost a loyal customer.
