I've got a 1998, and our trace has a 1989 model. The reason I got mine is because she had hers. When trace got hers for her 3 mile trip to work I restored it, so spent plenty time looking at the workings, after riding hers a few times I just wanted one, it' a cleche but it realy does mean you ride with a smile.
So now we go out together at weekends etc..great fun and before you think you'd never have one you'r wrong.

I rode a step-thru whilst in Thailand - didn't take much notice of what it was - a geared 125 - was great fun and surprisingly spritely 2-up!
Ten/twenty years ago I wouldn't have understood the appeal of a small bike but my tastes in bikes have changed. I've seen a few C90s in good condition at Squires cafe & they never fail to make me smile

I would love one... but they are starting to command a high price .... for good condition/low miles etc.
Is the YBR going to be the future Honda C90?
... not bias... honest! Heard they are everywhere

Are we there yet?
Re: Are you a closet C90 owner?
I had one for quite a while but have just sold it for the space, swapped the engine for a yx140 and ran a mikuni vm26 carb. I find it quite amusing how everyone wants them when people used to just throw them into canals

Please please don't tell me it's got an ECU, fuel injection, fly-by-wire, abs, mode riding etc etc!
They've already lost the leg shields and chain guard etc (2nd video). Still, I really like the looks of this bike! (thumbs)

Re: Are you a closet C90 owner?
I have this at the moment a CT 90, I bought it to race at last years Dirt Quake 2, my mate is racing it this year and I am racing the SR I have just built
I will be looking to sell it after the race, make some room in the garage ( for an xtz660 hopefully )
Loads of fun and fitted with a 125 pit bike engine, still have the original though if you wanted to restore it back to standard

And the poster for this years event, great weekend, watching or riding get there if you can

Does it come with the Evel Knievel suit thrown in?
I always wanted one when I was a kid.

Re: Are you a closet C90 owner?
A friend of mine is racing a C90 and the stuff he's done to it makes me laugh. He's changed the head so it's running a cam with different duration and bigger valves, higher compression piston, bigger carb, different rear shocks, he's fitted hydraulic struts to lock the forks in position so they've still got damping but don't act as leading links and pitch him off plus a load of other daft modifications to get it round a circuit faster. The whole lot cost under a grand to put together so it's obviously a bit of a dog.
All this would be great but you can't get decent tyres for it and he's racing as part of a three man team where they do half an hour at a time on the bike so when the inevitable crash happens they're trying to bodge it back together to get back out and finish the race.
He tried to get me to buy one and get a couple of the lads to enter a team but it's simply not happening
