easter weekend -sailsbury area
Re: easter weekend -sailsbury area
Hi Guy's.
As Russ Said....meeting point is the Countess Services on the A303,a couple of miles west of Amesbury at the junction of the A 345.
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=41 ... &A=Y&Z=120
We will head west, taking in the para drop zone/rough landing strip on Deptford Down,on to the training village on Chitterne Down and then on to the Imber range and village.
After that we will take in as much of the Larkhill/Westdown ranges as we can before heading over to the Bulford rifle range and the seven mile river.....superb.
All riders welcome but you will need TKC/MT21 type tyres if wet,if bone dry then anything round and black will do.
Russ...Larkhill/Westdown and the Bulford ranges are showing "not open" on 25th in the April Newsletter, but I have never seen them closed on a B/H weekend and even if they are, there will still be a good day's ride in the area.
The access phone number is 01980 674763 (automated message) and will give you the weekend/next week range open times from about Friday lunchtime.
I've got to shoot off early afternoon but I'm sure Russ will be happy to carry on if we've not worn you out by then.
I'm away Fri/Sat/Sun but will log in Sunday evening to check on things,or give Russ/Tramp a shout as he knows the area very well.
Cheers,
Andy.

Hi guys,
As tomsdad says meeting point is the countess services, little chef behind the shell station meet up at 8am , tiime for a quick grub stop for those who want to leave at 8.45am .
Due to safety and not wanting to seem like a wagon train we are limiting numbers to 6 in total, [okay Andy ?] usual safety applies concerning the right gear so boots etc I`ll have a first aid kit along and last man down aka , just check the guy behind is still their and okay.
