I'll be sticking to the tarred road for this visit to the area.
However, I'm not a fan of large group rides, so I'll probably plot my own routes / rides and maybe see everyone at designated food / water stops.

I am willing to take a slow group out. Covering the interesting routes/locations.

A bit of advice, select some group leaders and let them choose their own routes based on what Members want to do. That way we please everyone..... almost.
Adventure motorcycling is a challenge for those who go but only a dream for those who stay behind.

Stevie nae mates, usual response! Well, I was just going to follow you but suppose I could follow the crowd! As I don't know the area I would appreciate a guided tour, would reciprocate if up in the Highlands.
Will probably be on the Mighty Varadero which is more than capable of keeping up with any of the bikes there apart from the worst of offroad conditions. I'm happy to follow the consensus regarding ride outs or rallies.

I'll discuss soon regarding plans mate. ;)

Road for me too. I'll join LWR and the bimbling group: I want to enjoy it, not race round.
Looking forward to it!

sorry barnman, im happy being out for a few hours then lunch, then a few hours more, with coffee stops in between. a leisurely day out seeing the countryside sounds good, if i want a blast along A-roads i can do that down here.
i think the trouble is not many of us know the area so dont know what to expect, is a few hours 100mi or 200mi up there? distance doesnt really matter, but i dont want want to be wandering the dales for hours and hours
