From the thread title I thought you were planning something like this.

Webbing straps for me too, just remember to close off with a half hitch.
Bungees are fine for soft stuff, eg a rucksack, as they can bite into them without slippage,
I wouldn't advocate their usage on hard surfaces as the same principle in reverse applies.

I’m will Alun on this – cargo nets every time. The more, the better
Over a long enough timeline, everyones survival rate drops to zero

Once the gear is secure, then sure I add a cargo net over the top. Dead handy for stashing kit etc, also dry my undercrackers while I'm riding, the clean ones I've just washed

I use a cargo net too, but I've just noticed that Chainspeed have a sale on Rok Straps at the moment: Chainspeed

Cargo nets and bungees, they are couple of quid each.
Those rokstraps seem a good idea but aren't they £20 a pop or something.

I use mixture of pull through webbing straps n plastic hooked bungees...roc straps supposed to be the biz but are expensive

My panniers have click-together plastic catches, So after spending ages getting everything to fit right I decided to cable tied these together so they would not come un-clicked.snaphappy wrote:
