I've got one too, and I love it. I tour on it around Britain,ride her all year too.

I've just come back from the Borders, in the company with a Bonneville SE and it kept up fine with us on GSA's
Sounded lovely with Hyde pipes, I sat on it and boy was it small - felt like a 250 after the 1150GSA

all the bonnies with "sit up and beg" positions ride lovely, the thruxton is crippling and the america is ok if you like cruiser riding positions.

but....
im with herman, i'd rather have a W800

i think it looks better, its cheaper, and it'll be a long time before i trust a triumph again.

That looks really nice, sadly they don't do it in the Matt Green anymore.

How loud is the Arrow exhaust? I've heard that they can be a bit too loud? I think a magazine tester had one a couple of years ago in TWO and had to take the Arrow off in the end as he thought it was too much. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts though.

Not that loud,it's road legal.Wonder if writer took baffles out if he did them yes really noisy.

I loved mine, I only sold it as I would have ended up trashing it green lanes

That is beautiful!

I accept there is a weight penalty woth these bikes but how good are they on the trails? They certainly look like they could do wth a bit more suspension travel.

I love the idea of a simple, tough & reliable air-cooled twin and if the Scram, the V7 or (ulp) the Sportster had a better set-up for me (on/off road), I'd be in there.

Hmmmm....where is the bike trail bike with the looks of the Scram, the weight of the V7 and the simplicity of the Sportster ?

My experience I took my Tiger in for a service the shop owner who I know threw me the keys to a scrambler and told me to bring it back at the end of the week.
I jumped on the bike and within a mile I hated it, I got home and dumped it in the garage.

At the end of the week out come the scrambler ready to go back to the shop it was hissing down as I left my garage and within a mile I love the Scrambler and really regretted not using the thing all week.

I found it a very interesting ride and had a great laugh on it, so why did I hate it at the beginning of the week. Well I had just gotten of a 955, the scram felt like a underpowered mountain bike in comparision (sp) and really small when I first got on it. But it has a decent enough engine perhaps not with the same amount of character as a triple or the power. It was comfortable and I should of ridden it more.

Should I ever be in the position to get a second bike I would not hesitate to buy one. It would soon become a desert sled
