Well.... pulled the bike out of the garage okay this morning... and patched up my over trousers with a piece of tent repair tape and completed the journey to work.
Apart from feeling like someone is using me a as wishbone while sat on the bike... not too bad. At least I can cock my leg over it and get off again unaided... which is a bonus after being helped off it last week
