Chatted to a stall holder at the show about a intercom and he had a scala set "reduced" down to £169 was thinking of jetting it when wife googled it and it was cheaper on line.
Wife was also looking at jacket and pants in hein gericke - "reduced" to £179 but again a quick look on their own website revealed it was £149 !!!! Beware show prices!
Someone was doing sidi adventure boots for £245 through - tried them on and um'ed and ah'ed a while but in the end the money is better spent on the exc rebuild.

Just got home from the NEC .......... Not a bad show 7/10.

Had a sit on the new Triumph 1200, quite comfy BUT looks cheap'n'nasty compared to the Honda Crossdresser or the classy Tenere! The shaft looks like it's came off a Triumph Stag, it's huge, ugly & black.
The bike I sat on was a basic model & the Triumph guy said it would be £11300-11500 on the road!

I predict a sales flop with this one?

Actually I think a lot if not all of the new bikes are ugly. New Ducati is lovely though.

+1. I liked the triumph 1200, i thought very similar to the 1200 gs i ride. I,ve just got back from bike show, didn't think it was particularly busy and have got admit that the best thing I saw was the silver Morgan roadster ( 3 wheeler), I could sell one my kidneys for one them and even blagged a demo in the future!!

Went yesterday had a great day out, too many bikes, gagets, kit and not enough money. watched the ramp it up show brilliant! Met Jamie Whitham who is a great guy and had lots of patience when the batteries died in the camera and then made sure we had the best lighting for the pic! even threw me a free balaclava. Thought Nick Saunders was as manic in real life as his record breaking feats but another super guy. I think this was the best £16.00 I've spent for a long time. found that I really really would like for christmas is the Ducati Multistrada - canazie1200 if you see this one with bow christmas morning would be brilliant!

Just back from the bike show... £112 to Touratech (bar riser's - rear master cylinder protection & sprung rear brake pedal) & £90 to Venture shield for the full protection kit for my Dakar great stuff and well worth the £90.
