Other than TT and ABR staff has anyone had physical contact with the magazine? :woohoo:
"The trails of the world be countless, and most of the trails be tried.

You tread on the heels of many, till you come where the ways divide.

And one lies safe in the sunlight, and the other is dreary and wan, Yet you look aslant at the Lone Trail, and the Lone Trail lures you on....

....Bid good-bye to sweetheart, bid goodbye to friend, The Lone Trail, the Lone Trail, follow to the end.

Tarry not, and fear not, chosen of the true;

Lover of the Lone Trail, The Lone Trail waits for you"

I don't why you keep going on about subscribers should be getting it first, 'cos there is still no sign of it in the shops either.

So at the moment I think the case is sunscribers are NOT getting it before the shops don't get it

Yeah, yeah I know I should have subscribed but I thought I'd leave it a month so I didn't get a second copy of issue 6, only to completely forget

Oh well, I decided to subscribe anyway, as I'm getting fed up walking to Smiths every lunch time.

So Oi! Alun where's my copy?

I can assure you that there is no-one more frustrated than myself when it comes to magazine delivery issues. As the owner of a publishing company with subscribers I'm beginning to view the Royal Mail as an adversary and an impediment to business.

And just so that you know, in an attempt to see if we could speed up the delivery process we changed to a new mailing house for Issue 7 and used TNT rather than the Royal Mail – although the RM still do the final drop through the door.

We handed over the mags a week ago and were originally quoted delivery for Saturday which then changed to Monday, it's now Tuesday and by the looks of things the mag has still not been delivered.

It's not good enough and for that I apologise to all subscribers. Right now I'm waiting for a reply from the mailing house (who done their bit on time) to find out what the hell is going on. So far, all I've heard is that there have been 'trunking issues' and that delivery is expected tomorrow.

As for the W H Smiths situation my reply is the same as always; we have paid to be in W H Smiths high street stores and in their travel stores (railways, airports, service stations) and we are in those stores, I have the sales reports on my screen.

Peterborough sold over 10 copies of issue 6 and are a stockist the following stores stock the mag in Liverpool.

BOOTLE 39/40 NEW STRAND
LIVERPOOL 10/16 CHURCH STREET
NEW MERSEY RETAIL PK NEW MERSEY RETAIL PARK
MOSSLEY HILL 60 ALLERTON ROAD

The problem with W H Smiths is the same as it always has been. We have been publishing Adventure Travel for 17 years and our local W H Smiths have always stocked it and yet when I go in the store and ask do they stock it they tell me 'no' more often than not.
