And Number Eight takes me to the North York Moors - lovely day out from Berwick to Thirsk, over to Scarborough, excellent fish n chips in Whitby and a quick visit to the Goathland Hotel - aka the 'Aidensfield Arms'

Number nine came as part of an extended run around Scotland - having heard about the Street Bike event at Newton Stewart, I thought 'Here's a good chance to pop along and visit Glen Trool at the same time". Then came the idea that as my football team, Berwick Rangers, were playing up in Elgin, I'd head there on the Saturday, and stay with a pal in Helensburgh before heading for Galloway. But just to add extra flavour to the journey up there, I'd ride up to Ardnamurchan (most westerly point of the British mainland) on Friday. So my jaunt through the Borders turned into an 850 mile traipse, split 50-50 between glorious sunshine and driving rain....

Bit of nice scenery from the single-track road to Kilchoan, on the Ardnamurchan peninsular.
Islands of Muck, Eigg, Rum and in the far distance, Skye.

And congratulations to the Rotary Club of Newton Stewart, who staged their first Street Bike Show to raise funds for good causes. Simple idea, just turn your main street over to bikers, then lots of people come along to see the bikes, listen to music and spend some dosh at the associated market stalls.

And to Number 10 in the Nature Rally Challenge! Looking forward to my Bronze Certificate!;)
This time a run to the Peak District Centre in Bamford, after arriving at North Shields on the ferry from Amsterdam. Blustery day, but got back to Berwick in the dry, making 14 successive days on the bike without getting rained on - certainly a record for me, I think!
