Some Friday pictures
A great wee campsite nicely located on the WAW (Thanks to Derek who mentioned it to me last year)
Met up with Olaf , with his impressive set up (seasoned biker& camper!) Looks like we were 1st to arrive after Damian who had arrived Thursday & was out on his bike.ABR Ireland 2024 26 - 28th April 2024

A enjoyable Friday evening in Glengarriff putting the world to right with Olaf & Chris.

After breakfast at the campsite - most of the attendees opted to follow Damien around some local roads & passes ( hopefully some pics to follow) He had been in this neck of the woods in the past and was familiar with the area.
Myself & Chris did our own thing- Chris was on a HD which would not have been suited to some of the smaller unsurfaced roads.
Some pictures from the day.

A few drinks and chat in the campsite pub on Saturday evening, farewells said & back to the tent for the last night.
Sunday morning - again, glorious & sunny, with a bit of frost.
Headed off at 7am ,& had the N71 up to Killarney all to myself - it really is a stunning area & road
Some pics

I had intended to make my way towards Westport and spend the night there, but the weather was looking grim for Sunday night/Monday morning - instead I headed for Carrick on Shannon, the rain held off until I got there & booked into a hotel for the night.
A nice location for a brew stop on the way up As per weather forecast, heavy rain Sunday night and Monday morning.
Headed home via a couple of fishing stops - I had no luck in Wicklow, lost a couple in Kerry & Leitrim but a couple of results in Tyrone! Another great (long) weekend and meetup - have to start thinking about next year's location now!

Heff, Flint, Damian and anyone else who played a part in the Ireland rally, many thanks for a great weekend and a special pat on the back for organising sun and blue skies.
The Saturday ride out was the best yet, just a shame we could not get a taxi from Cassey's on the night, the nearest cab being in Bantry. Once again, many thanks and we're already looking forward to 2025.
As I was goin' over the Cork and Kerry mountains
He done a big old jump alright
Lovely gravel road near the tip on the Beara
One side Cork the other Kerry.
