As you might tell, not exactly taken today.
That looks like Dungeness? If not, it's of a very similar shingle & powerline ilk!
It is indeed. Derek Jarman’s (the film director) house.
A nice 40 minute ride from home so good for a quick fill in ride and a favourite spot of ours by car or bike.
I remember pouring wet summer days in the in the late 50’s and early 60’s being told we had to enjoy ourselves.
Four adults and two kids in an Austin 7!!!!! Those were the days though.
Odd that is now classed as the UK’s only true desert….but does get flooded with illegals lately..

Had a directionless bimble today, ended up near Biddulph at a place called Mow Cop Castle… (not a real castle)

The views were fantastic in both directions. The little white dot, half way down, over on the right hand side of the first photty is Jodrell Bank

You know Mow Cop Castle is a folly. It was built by a rich factory owner from the Potteries. I used to be on the bins round there too.

I know Dungeness pretty well.... when our children were little, and when Mrs vb was on a weekend work shift, it became a default 'go to' place when the weather was good, using the RHD Railway from Hythe station.
And in the course of work, I designed and built the bogs extension at Dungeness station 😳! .... RHDR were clients of my firm.
Always enjoy fish & chips at The Pilot pub nearby, usually going there by bike when the weather is kind.
