Holeshot Salisbury

Post by Richard Simpson Mark II »

has got the administrators in and 'unencumbered stock' is to be auctioned off.

Based in Salisbury, it had KTM, GasGas, Husky Honda and Kawasaki franchises.

KTM struggles to keep its dealerships in central southern England going.

This story has actually made The Sun newspaper!

KTM UK ( covering Husky and GasGas too) are not easy people to deal with, from what I have heard. Big pressure on dealers.

Holeshot became massive very quickly. Along comes the downturn and leisure pursuits are at risk. Many mx and enduro events have been struggling all year for entries and you can't give away a used 450 MX bike at present.

Tough time for all dealers, but when you have high overheads and are relying on high turnover, it can get very tough, very fast.

Sad for everyone involved.

Yes, they are blaming high interest rates hitting sales...I guess it's very difficult to put together an attractive PCP deal now.

PCP = pay now, don't buy later.
