Re: pyrenees motorbike ban.....
When I went to Croatia on my old CBF1000 the first thing I did when I got home was to sell the Delkevic cans and put the original Honda ones back on. The noise, although not ear splitting loud, was just too draining after several hours in the saddle. To be honest, I think the bike ran sweeter as well with the Honda cans.

The ADVrider article is just a story with no evidence to back up the journalists comments but I suppose it will increase the website 'traffic' .
If it does turn out to have some element of truth all it does is highlight the fact that existing Laws about loud pipes are not being enforced ........ so what's the point in creating more Laws that won't be enforced either? After all here in the UK the 'tossers on crossers' have abandoned the greenlanes and countryside in favour of town centres so what's the point?

Idiocracy was a documentary beamed back by a time traveling Buddhist monk to warn us all, unfortunately we all thought it was a fictional comic parody

Re: pyrenees motorbike ban.....
o .. you mean like our `leadership` election .. our gas bills .. our war on middle earners ...
our pooping on our public workers .. our upstanding police force ..
our defence of the indefensible ..
then there's `global warming` .. net zero .. carbon neutral .. electrification of all transport ( by next Tuesday) .. waste `disposal` .. water charges for leaks and dumping poop onto our beaches .. hosepipe threats .. support of big business .. pooping on poor people .. making working class people pay for the bankers thefts, for printing paper money, for that nice mr pootin saving his neighbour ..
keep it all going, with an idiotic smile.. ... the british people will never rebel
o .. yeah ... just keep riding your bikes .. don't let the fockers grind ya down!

Re: pyrenees motorbike ban.....
Also, remember that what is written on pieces of law paper in various Chambers, is often not come to pass in the real world.
Especially since Teresa May attacked the police and cut their numbers.
Unless those pieces of paper are followed through, they are better used in other chambers.
I think that the more laws are made, the less they are followed.
Especially when they are obviously made for the benefit of our ruling classes.
Real law, if you think of it, is within the decency of people's minds.

Re: pyrenees motorbike ban.....
I suppose the written laws are a code of expected good behaviour.. meant for those of bad behaviour .. but restrictive to those of good behaviour.
Badly behaved people are the least likely to follow these guidelines, as it is their nature, while well behaved people suffer the most from the written restrictions, and become disillusioned,
Also, when the baddies are apprehended, they become even more disillusioned from their resentment and bad experiences.
When law upon law is overly enacted to meet more modern requirements.. because the original laws are too specific and not general .. people feel overly restricted, feel unfairness, and begin to ignore the overly punitive laws.
When the law enforcers become disillusioned and corrupt, we have what we have in the UK today. All led by unfair and morally corrupt leaders.
The general people have depended on our model of behaviour and living, in the past, at present, and for the future, so things are difficult to change.
The answer is for us to have good, moral and capable leaders.
