As in the past, I would like to organise another rally at the New Inn, Cropton.
I have been in touch with the pub and the campsite is available for the 8th - 10th October.
This weekend would be the same weekend as the 40's weekend but that has been cancelled this year so we would have the pub pretty much to ourselves.
Camping, bonfire, beer and ride outs as per usual ........... and the usual banter.
If there is enough interest I would like to confirm the date with the pub and make arrangements for food and wood.
Hoping this thread finds you all well and up for this.
Cheers Steve (alias Mario)

Re: Ecky Thump Rally
I hope to be free for this one, not made it before so would be nice to add another Rally to the list.
Keeping fingers crossed it's a goer.

Re: Ecky Thump Rally
Just a quick update.
Devon John has informed me that a change of venue has been suggested and someone was going to check out another place.
I have not been party to this discussion and have been waiting for a definitive answer on the venue.
I have already contacted the pub at Cropton and they have pencilled us in. A great venue and with the added fact that accommodation will be available behind the pub as the 40 weekend has been cancelled. We could virtually have the place to ourselves.
If I do not confirm our booking soon we could loose it.
Finding another venue, especially for motorbikes is becoming increasingly difficult, especially those that will have a fire.
Cropton is a very good site for our requirements.
As for the other place, (I went here this weekend), there are two sites in this alternative village, but the lower one is immaculate and due to the time of year the manager would not allow us to use it in any case for fear of damage to the grass and no fire.
There is an upper field, which we could have sole use of, but it's smaller and half is on a slope, too much to set a tent on and it will not cater for more than 20 bikes and tents on the level. There is a toilet / shower block and a fire pit area. The fire area is very small, situated right underneath a tree and the manager wants to sell fire blocks that don't spark.
Right alongside this is the pump unit for the toilets!
Access is along a short gravel track, if the weather is inclement then the Harley lads won't like that!.
There is however a pub and shop within 5 minutes walk with a further two pubs in the village and a fuel station. It would be up to the individual to pre-book food at the pubs.
I do have pics on my phone but cannot get them onto this site.
So its over to the collective, am I going to organise with Cropton or is someone going to organise an alternative??????
