Fitted Oxford Heated Touring grips to my Crosstourer this year. Cant say I have done the planned thousands of miles on them unfortunately.
I wear "race" style gloves and the heat has needed turning down. Nice an' toasty if needed. Wired as per instructions. Noticeably thicker than Honda OE. No problems so far. If I am not on the bike for more than a week or two it goes on a trickle charger.

Ok, I've organised and bought set of Oxford Adventure HotGrips which should arrive towards end of this week to replace my faulty factory fitted V-Strom's heated grips which have been faulty for the past nine months or so...
I'm going to need another set to fit onto my Honda Silverwing 600 Maxi-Scooter if anyone has a spare/unused set lying about please..... cheers all.

I've fitted R&G hg000122c grips to mrs. h's duke 390 and they seem good. They are the same size as std grips unlike some. I've ordered another pair to fit to my alp 200. Just dont trust an 'automatic' control.

I've got some early Oxford grips on my 950, fitted by a previous owner. The original controller broke, and I replaced with a 'smart' one.
Powered off the switched live, so won't flatten the battery.
On a very long, cold ride I had them cranked up so hard that they were burning my palms though Winter gloves, but my fingers were still cold. But they are great for chilly days, enable you to keep using less bulky gloves for longer.
Fo real cold, I think heated gloves would be the real answer.

I agree, I've extended the bottom of my hand guards on the S10 so the wind is kept off my finger tips and thumb but in very cold weather heated gloves are the answer, more so if you have a heated jacket they can simply plug into.
I’ve used heated grips on a number of bikes. Oxford and OE fitted, current ride is a BMW.
I came to the conclusion it’s all about the gloves, the grips heat up the gloves.
I was advised some years ago to try mountaineer gloves, not cheap but very effective, warm and waterproof with a liner that doesn’t come out when hands can become damp. Silk liners help.
I’ve had these a few years now.

I've now fitted a set of Oxford Adventure Hot-Grips to my K8 V-Strom DL1000, took my time and carried out a neat job.
Took the bike out yesterday for a ride to test everything, wOw much improved difference heat wise compared to my original Suzuki's grips.
I was using the Hot-Grips setting in/around 40/50% and was very toasty. Overall I'm a happy traveller.
Think I'll get a pair for my Honda SilverWing at some point next.
