F900XR, so around 109 horses according to the salesman. Certainly noticably more grunt than the F8GS but with a slightly forward and a sitting on the bike not in the bike riding position.
It was the basic version with 2 riding modes, ABS & traction control, so fairly simple to get to grips with info wise. Slightly more economical than the F8GS over the same 40 odd mile route, which, given the extra power, I found quite suprising.
Will I be trading anything in for one? Not just now, thank you very much

Re: A photo you took, today
Greetings,
Don't get too close to one of those on your 'tail riding', two paint strippers blasting out on re-heat. The last one I saw flying pointed vertically slid along our runway and then straight up like a rocket, the air vibration and noise was fantastic. Like a side by side barrelled Purdey on steroids

Out for a wee forty mile run this morning after a coffee meet-up with my two riding buddies on their Honda 700 Transalp and Yamaha Tracer 700 in the Central belt of Scotland. We called into a local motorcycle dealership in Kincardine;

Decided that a visit to the west coast was in order, so headed out early doors and rolled another 260 miles under the wheels of the CB5X.
This picture was taken along a track near Glen Oykel
And this one a bit further along . . .
This view needs no introduction . . . but for those that have not yet travelled north of the wall (or the central belt) it’s Loch Broom viewed from near the Corrieshalloch gorge.
